Fletcher was on the scoresheet again as Wrexham saw off 10-man Burton on Saturday to strengthen their chances of a third-straight promotion. With the 38-year-old into the last months of his Red Dragons contract, the forward may have suggested a new deal is close.

After posting several photos from the victory on social media and writing: "+3 and a goal… Saturdays at the Racecourse." He was then asked about a new contract, to which he used the 'side-eyes' emoji.

They are six points clear of third-placed Wycombe, but the Welsh team have played a game more.
