'Humble' Endrick told he's 'playing well' at Real Madrid despite lack of minutes as Brazil wonderkid is backed to 'make history' by UFC star

Endrick has had a slow start to life at Madrid since joining the Spanish giants last summer following his impressive displays for Palmeiras in his homeland. He has made 28 appearances in all competitions, but has not been named in the starting XI in a La Liga match and has started just once in the Champions League.

Madrid remain convinced of the young striker's potential and former UFC lightweight champion Oliveira has been impressed by what he has seen of his "humble" compatriot.

WHAT OLIVEIRA SAID

"It's hard to say where somebody is going to be or how big this player is going to be in the future. We don't know the future. But Endrick is playing very well," he told . "He used to play in Palmeiras and I watched him play a couple of times, I also had the chance to meet him in the US when he was playing for the national team. He is very humble and I have nothing but respect for him. I hope he goes on to make history."

AFPWHAT NEXT FOR ENDRICK?

Despite his limited playing time in Spain, Endrick was called up to the Brazil national team as a replacement for the injured Neymar for the World Cup qualifying games against Colombia and Argentina.
