The Guardian claims that negotiations between Arsenal and the left-back, whose current terms expire in 2026, over a new deal are 'not going well' and Real Madrid are 'sniffing around' the situation as a result.

Lewis-Skelly has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the past season; going from making his Arsenal debut, to becoming a first-team regular, starring in the Champions League, and then playing for England for the first time. But the 18-year-old, who has received rave reviews in recent months, is clearly ambitious, and if the Gunners want to tie him down to a new deal, it needs to be a good offer.
